House of Waterford Crystal

One of Waterford's most popular visitor attractions the Waterford Crystal Visitor Centre is a must see. Take the guided tour of the factory where you can view all aspects of traditional crystal production including, mould making, blowing, quality inspection, finishing, cutting, sculpting and engraving. There is also a visual presentation at the end that traces back to ancient times the craft of glass-making to the present day.

The Viking Triangle

The Viking Triangle is Waterford's cultural and heritage quarter. Meander through the narrow streets as you take in the tranquil atmosphere and explore over a thousand years of history. On your journey through the restored historical area of Waterford City look out for attractions such as Reginald’s Tower, the Medieval Museum, Christchurch Cathedral and the two cathedrals of the city.

Theatre Royal

The Theatre Royal is an old Victorian theatre that is a premier venue for arts and music in the South-East of Ireland. Productions of local and international companies perform regularly and the theatre hosts the annual Waterford International Festival of Light Opera each spring.

Shopping

Waterford is a prime destination for shoppers with an eclectic mix of independent stores and boutiques that has something to suit anyone's taste in fashion. Along with many shops located off Waterford's streets, there are two shopping centres in the city, Georges Court Shopping Centre and City Square Shopping Centre.
