Waterford Greenway

Waterford Greenway is a highlight of Irelands Ancient East. The 46km stretch contains some of the most notable and beautiful sights in the county and can be walked or cycled. The greenway is broken into shorter segments to suit every fitness level and you can always stop in some of the towns and villages along the way to refresh and refuel. Highlights of the greenway include the Old Red Iron Bridge, Kilmeaden Castle, Waterford & Suir Valley Heritage Railway and the Durrow Viaduct. Don’t worry about bringing your bike with you; there are many bike hire shops in the city. If you would prefer to bring your own, we have a secure bike storage facility In the hotel.

Heritage Sites in Waterford City

Did you know that Waterford is Irelands Oldest City? With such a long history behind us, we naturally have some of the most impressive heritage sites in the country for guests to enjoy. Learn more about the world-famous Waterford Crystal when you take the factory tour, seeing the fascinating glass blowing process for yourself or admiring the beautiful displays.

Another fascinating stop on your tour should be one of our newest museum additions, the Silver Museum. This museum is located in the Deanery in Cathedral Square and is the only dedicated silver museum in Ireland.
