One of Waterford's most popular visitor attractions the Waterford Crystal Visitor Centre is a must see. Take the guided tour of the factory where you can view all aspects of traditional crystal production including, mould making, blowing, quality inspection, finishing, cutting, sculpting and engraving. There is also a visual presentation at the end that traces back to ancient times the craft of glass-making to the present day.
The Viking Triangle is Waterford's cultural and heritage quarter. Meander through the narrow streets as you take in the tranquil atmosphere and explore over a thousand years of history. On your journey through the restored historical area of Waterford City look out for attractions such as Reginald’s Tower, the Medieval Museum, Christchurch Cathedral and the two cathedrals of the city.
The Theatre Royal is an old Victorian theatre that is a premier venue for arts and music in the South-East of Ireland. Productions of local and international companies perform regularly and the theatre hosts the annual Waterford International Festival of Light Opera each spring.
