We have replaced our beds with King Koil beds; the comments and reviews from our customers have been very positive. Overall, they felt that the beds were very comfortable and had a feel of high quality, coupled with new plump pillows that allow for a good night sleep. A good night sleep assured in a comfortable bed is one of the most important factors involved in customer service at The Viking Hotel.
THE BAR & RESTAURANT
Take in the new surroundings as you wine and dine. The Viking Hotel’s refurbishment was designed by ‘Hugh Wallace’; celebrity architect; of the RTE TV Programme ‘Home of the year’. In ‘The Viking Hotel’ we have a selection of; Craft Beers, Cocktails & Spirits that have been introduced.
This creates a more ‘up to date’ and ‘up market’ offering which in turn opens the hotel up to new guests that expect this. The new offering and surroundings certainly give the edge to one hotel over another.
The Viking Hotel’s newly designed Restaurant and Bar ‘The Wooden Pestle’ is a new dining area which is more attractive. Its’ combination of bistro tables, banquette seating and comfortable armchairs creates a great space. In addition; the high seating with power points for laptops and phones; proves to our guests that the hotel understands their needs.
MEETING ROOM
A busy lobby is nothing new at the Viking Hotel. Enjoy the buzz and great atmosphere as you enter the hotel, companies regularly hold informal meetings or work remotely from their office for an hour or two here while enjoying a coffee, snack and efficient table service. For those taking their clients to our designated meeting rooms, the new entrance area and surroundings will be a pleasing first impression indeed.
Fresh RE-BRAND AND MARKETING
Our new look includes art deco lamps, wall mounted light fittings and overhead cage style fixtures alongside the new palate of Grey, Blue & Gold throughout (view in our website gallery) and many more additions; we now want you to see it all! Our new photoshoot gives you a clear view of the changes throughout the hotel. Keep an eye on all of our social media also for further updates made from week to week in the hotel.
Finally, you may have noticed, we slightly tweaked our hotel logo, giving it a fresh, modern, more appealing appearance. Our restaurant has been renamed the ‘Wooden Pestle Restaurant’ which fits beautifully with the mix of Natural wood, Bevelled mirrors, glossy surfaces and luxurious fabric you will find as you stay with us.
