WIT Arena is the largest sports, conference and events centre in the South East of Ireland. The Viking hotel is 2km from the Arena and is the nearest hotel in Waterford to this fantastic facility. Edge Gym
The Edge gym at WIT Arena, Waterford offers top of the range exercise and fitness equipment that caters for all levels of fitness, whether you’re a serious athlete or an inexperienced gym goer embarking on a new positive healthier lifestyle. The Edge gym has fully qualified gym instructors that will offer advice and point you in the right direction to ensure you get the most benefit from each workout. The WIT Arena is located approximately 3 minutes drive from the Viking Hotel on the ring road.
The Edge gym offers an exclusive rate of just €7 for corporate guests of the Viking Hotel during certiain hours;Â
Weekdays: 7am to 9am, 2pm to 4pm and 8pm to 10pm
Weekends: 9am to 11am and 2pm to 6pm.
Event Centre and Sports Facilities
Waterford Institute of Technology Arena is located 2km from the Viking Hotel. It boasts indoor and outdoor facilities and offers an event centre. The indoor facilities include a conference centre, training rooms and dance studios. The WIT Arena can be used as one single space of 2000m2 or can be divided into 3 separate areas of equal size which allows large conferences and exhibitions to be held here. It boasts an impressive seating capacity of up to 2,000 people.
