The Granary Café

Located in a quayside granary that was built in 1870 on Hanover Street in Waterford. Open Daily; this Café boasts 7 McKenna Guide Awards and promises homemade food using fresh local ingredients, a relaxed atmosphere with superb service. The outside seating is a nice feature when the weather in the summer time.

Grow HQ

Based on the Dunmore Rd Waterford it is set on 4 acres of land right across from The University Hospital Waterford. The ethos is Grow, Cook, Eat; this café seats 65 and boasts nutritious & delicious seasonal Food that they grow themselves on the surrounding land and gardens. The Café is open 7 days a week for Breakfast, lunch and Bistro Menu with Brunch served on a Sunday… always a favourite! Their education centre offers courses and classes to teach adults, teens and children how to grow their own fruit, vegetables & Herbs. As you can imagine, the food is excellent!

Hook & Ladder 

Based on The Tramore Rd in Waterford offers something different to its customers. It offers The Living Café, Furniture & Home Accessories Store and even a cookery school! The flagship store is based on Sarsfield St Limerick; it has two additional stores in Limerick following its success- based in Corbally and Castletroy. The business is committed to supporting local producers and suppliers. This café is a lovely place to wander through and to chill out if you have an hour to spare. The Café offers Premium Coffee, speciality teas, an assortment of wines and a selection of home-baked cakes from the in-store bakery. With free Wi-Fi, books and daily newspapers available to customers it is a nice place to relax.

McLearys Café

Located not too far from The Viking Hotel; on The Cork Road in Waterford. It offers free parking and is open from 10am-5pm. The offering of refreshments is really quite varied from ‘Chocolate Iced Coffee to Mango Smoothies’. There are a few nice dishes also, such as waffles with maple syrup….eggs Royale…French Toast …and for lunch…Prawn & Chorizo, Pulled Pork burger and Beef Noodle Stir Fry to name but a few! The usual Soup, Sandwiches & Salads are all available too. McLearys also have a restaurant located in the heart of Waterford on Parade Quay if you fancy a dinner option later in the evening. The restaurant is modern, comfy and very stylish which creates a lovely atmosphere to dine in!

Viking Hotel

Viking Hotel on the Cork Rd, Waterford is a Popular choice with locals and guests alike and open from 7am weekdays and 8am at the weekend; full buffet breakfast is available. The Buffet Breakfast offers a hearty hot breakfast or if you are feeling like being healthy there is Fruit, Yogurts, cereals, pastries, cold meats, cheeses and all the usual favourites! Speciality teas, coffees, homemade pastries and scones are served from 10.30am daily (11 am on weekends). With ample free parking and Wi-Fi Viking Hotel is a great choice!
