This year, there is a free outdoor music and arts festival taking place every weekend in the city that’s ideal for visitors and families. Every weekend June to August Waterford City will come alive with the best in live music, family entertainment, workshops and street performance. For many years, Waterford has not had an August Bank Holiday weekend. Instead, we have Spraoi weekend where there is something for everyone to celebrate! This festival weekend is a Street Arts Festival with a weekend of art, performance and fun all over the city. There are over 200 shows spread across the weekend that are suitable for all ages and interests. The organisers believe art should be accessible so there is no charge for any of the shows, but advance booking may be required. You’ll see everything on the streets of Waterford during Spraoi weekend including bands, singers, dancers, jugglers, street performances, comedy, circus groups and much more.
